Michael Pollan Speaks at the Long Now Foundation

Sustainability Media films with Michael Pollan for the Long Now Foundation. Pollan, author of In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto and The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals , spoke to the Long Now Foundation on Tuesday the 5th, 2009.  His topic was of course, the Greening of the US Agricultural System, but the depth of his conversation with the audience went to the heart of designing a world that understand where it has come from and intends to be around for many more generations.  Home Gardening, Polycultures, WWII Explosives and Fertilizers, Finding Time to Cook, and First Lady Michelle Obama's Organic White House Garden were some of his topics and I encourage you to join the Long Now Foundation so you can watch this excellent seminar through their partner ForaTV.

Here's a Link to a great summary of the event by host, Kevin Kelly.
