Seminars About Long-term Thinking

Seminars About Long-term Thinking

The Long Now Foundation's Seminar's About Long-term Thinking started in 02003 to build a compelling body of ideas about long term thinking; to help nudge civilization toward Long Now's goal of making long term thinking automatic and common instead of difficult and rare. This Monthly series includes some of the greatest thinkers in the world; Jimmy Wales (founder of Wikipedia), Brian Eno (king of ambient music), Apollo 9's Rusty Schweickart, Will Wright (SIMS, Spore) and more. For the first couple of years, Long Now recorded and archived these seminars with the intentions of some day making the media available to the world. They started with a stationary camcorder and some wired mics and as the series grew more popular decided to hire out a professional production company to take this once local-only event live online and mp3 players.

Starting in 02005, Sustainability Media has provided Long Now's Seminar series with high quality, multi-angle digital recording. We worked closely with the foundation to provide quick post production turn around for their podcast and... NOT FINISHED. STILL WRITING.
